What Are the ARAL Math Grade 6 Tutor’s Guide and Learner’s Worksheets?
DepEd released the Grade 6 materials as a pair:
- Tutor’s Guide: the teaching manual. It gives the tutor the session flow, guided instruction, examples, and practice activities.
- Learner’s Worksheets: the printable pages your pupils answer during and after each session.
On the official DepEd LR Portal, the Grade 6 files for SY 2026-2027 are labeled as final, ready-to-print versions (FINAL – RTP). That means they’re cleared for reproduction, so schools can print them without extra approval.

What’s Inside the ARAL Math Grade 6 Tutor’s Guide?
Edit this section to match your actual file.
A good tutor’s guide should let you walk into a session without hours of prep. This one is designed to give you:
- A clear session flow so you know what to do in each 30-60 minute block
- Step-by-step teaching notes for each Grade 6 math skill
- Worked examples you can copy straight onto the board
- Guide questions that check understanding, not just answers
- Common mistakes to watch for, so you can fix misconceptions early
- An answer key so you can check work quickly
Skills Covered
Grade 6 math builds on fractions, decimals, ratios and measurement. For reference, the current Grade 6 Term 1 lesson logs include adding and subtracting decimals with up to four decimal places. The tutor’s guide is built around the same kind of foundational skills that learners often need to recover. depedclub
Skill area | Sample focus | Why it matters |
Whole numbers | Place value, the four operations | Everything else builds on it |
Fractions | Similar and dissimilar fractions, mixed numbers | The most common gap in Grade 6 |
Decimals | Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division | Used in money, measurement, and word problems |
Ratio and proportion | Equivalent ratios, simple proportion | Introduced earlier, tested again in high school |
Measurement | Perimeter, area, volume | Everyday application |
Problem solving | Multi-step word problems | A skill learners need across all subjects |
What’s Inside the Learner’s Worksheets?
The worksheets are meant to be printed and written on, so you don’t need devices, internet, or special materials. Each one is designed to be:
- Short and focused on one skill at a time
- Easy to follow, with clear directions and enough space to show work
- Gradual, starting with guided practice and moving to independent practice
- Printer-friendly, with plain layouts that save ink
Tip for schools on a tight budget: print two worksheets per page (front and back) and have learners write answers on the paper itself.

Yes. All the files on this page are free to download and use for teaching.
Are these files official DepEd materials?

Can I edit the worksheets?
[Answer based on your file format. If DOCX, say yes; if PDF, say it’s print-ready.]

Not necessarily. The ARAL law allows tutors from different backgrounds, as long as they receive training. Check with your school or division for the requirements in your area.
