What Is the ARAL Program?
ARAL stands for Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning. It’s a national DepEd intervention program, backed by the ARAL Act of 2024 (Republic Act No. 12028), that gives extra, structured support to learners who are below grade-level competencies in reading, math, and science.
ARAL-Math focuses on the basics: number sense, operations, and problem solving. Instead of rushing through the regular curriculum, tutors teach small groups at the level where learners actually are. DepEd’s guidance sets a typical tutor-to-learner ratio of up to 1:15.
What Are the ARAL Math Grade 2 Tutor’s Guide and Learner’s Worksheets?
DepEd released the Grade 2 materials as a pair:
- Tutor’s Guide: the teaching manual. It gives the tutor the session flow, guided instruction, examples, and practice activities.
- Learner’s Worksheets: the printable pages your pupils answer during and after each session.
On the official DepEd LR Portal, the Grade 2 files for SY 2026-2027 are labeled as final, ready-to-print versions (FINAL – RTP). That means they’re cleared for reproduction, so schools can print them without extra approval.
