Weather Forecast Today – Sunday, August 9, 2026

For today, August 9, many areas of the Philippines may experience cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms. The weather may vary from one region to another, with some areas experiencing occasional rain while others could receive heavier downpours.

In Southern Luzon, PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to range around 24°C to 29°C, with moderate to strong winds coming from the southwest. Coastal conditions may also become moderate to rough.

In the Visayas, partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with rain showers or thunderstorms are expected. Temperatures may reach around 28°C to 32°C, while southwest winds are expected to be moderate to strong.

Northern parts of Luzon are also experiencing significant rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon. PAGASA has issued rainfall warnings for several areas, including portions of La Union, Benguet, and Ilocos Sur, where flooding and landslides may threaten flood-prone and landslide-prone communities.
