What Is the Microsoft Copilot Chat (C.H.A.T.) Training for DepEd Teachers?

Before we dive into the certificate download process, let’s make sure we’re all on the same page.

The Copilot C.H.A.T. Initiative is a teacher enablement program designed to support educators in using Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat for everyday instructional and administrative tasks. Copilot Chat is a secure, education-ready AI assistant already included in the Department of Education’s Microsoft 365 entitlements. The program introduces practical and responsible ways to use AI to support lesson planning, assessment preparation, reporting, and professional tasks — helping teachers save time while maintaining policy-aligned and ethical use of technology.

The training initiative kicked off following a successful live Copilot Chat workshop held on May 30, 2026, via Microsoft Teams, which introduced teachers to AI-driven support systems designed to create future-ready classrooms.

This is not just any seminar. DepEd launched AGAP.AI (Accelerating Governance and Adaptive Pedagogy through Artificial Intelligence) on January 9, 2026 — the Philippines’ first nationwide program for responsible AI integration in basic education — which aims to train 1.5 million students, teachers, and parents in AI literacy and ethical use. The Copilot C.H.A.T. training is a key component of this nationwide initiative. Microsoft News
